Even Dido gets to collab with one of hip hop’s current hot artists. I’m curious as to how the collaboration came to be.
After listening to this song a few more times, the sample played in the first few seconds of the song and interspersed throughout sounded very familiar. From Kanye’s “Runaway.” A little Google search taught me this track was co-produced by Jeff Bhasker, who also produced the same Kanye track.

Kendrick Lamar’s ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city’ First Week Sales Revealed
Last Monday Kendrick Lamar released his debut album, ’good kid, m.A.A.d city.’After seeing the projections last week, the first week sales have officially been confirmed.
Kendrick Lamar sold 242,122 copies of his album, in just one week. This has made Kendrick’s album one of the highest selling debut records in new school rap history, only being beat out by Drake’s ‘Thank Me Later.’
Along with that, it puts Kendrick on the path to a certified gold record over the next few weeks.

How can you not love this song? Kendrick’s (hah, i’m going first name basis here) upcoming album on Aftermath/Interscope is my most highly anticipated hip hop album of 2012. Just the way he methodically enunciates each syllable…maaaaaaan.

I would’ve been more impressed if the verse wasn’t “phoned-in.”
And if I want to get more technical, Busta wasn’t up-to-par with KL’s verses.
I had higher expectations but that’s because it’s been quite hyped up by the Internetz.
I also thought there would be new KL lyrics.
I’m fine with the original.
I know I’m in the minority on this one.
